Not sure exactly sure what you are asking. But, in general, yes. You program the pad on the controller to send out on a certain midi channel (1-16) and you program the DAW to listen for that midi channel in that "channel/track on your DAW" that you wrote. The controller side is pretty standard stuff. How you setup the DAW side will probably be the challenge.
