I have a mighty mite fretless P neck (bought here in classifieds) and it is a terrific neck. Very nice feeling profile, truss rod does what it's supposed to and fingerboard is perfect.
I left it unfinished - there is some sort of coating on it so it is protected but it has no tint so it looks pretty pale. Someday I will give it a gun oil finish as the maple just looks too squeaky clean and I prefer the aged, darkened look.

AllParts makes better necks than Mighty Mite, IMHO. There's an eBay seller named POSTLANG who is an AllParts bass neck reseller. He routinely has finished, fully loaded and ready to bolt on AllParts maple/maple and maple/rosewood P and J width necks for $225 - $250. Check it out.

Why not just get a Fender neck? $199 finished and MF usually offers a 10% or 15% discount if you call.

I'll second that. Very happy with the one I got from POSTLANG.
I ordered an AllParts Jazz Bass neck about seven years ago: lined fretless, "Fender approved". I put it on a Geddy Lee Jazz Bass for a year or two but it never sounded "right" to me, so I ordered a passive P/J set from Bartolini, a body from Warmoth and now have a really good fretless.
I haven't had a whit of trouble from the AllParts neck and have never had to adjust the truss rod. The only downside was the awful truss rod access - at the heel. You'd essentially have to take the neck off to adjust the truss rod.

The Mighty Mite maple fb p neck is by far the best feeling, best shaped P neck I’ve ever played. It is not chunky in the least. It has been rock solid and super stable in the 7 years I’ve had it.
Amazing neck. Cheap, yet strong and light! Be sure to put a finish over the sealer coat they come with. It doesn’t need to be thick.

I've used several from both AP and MM over the last decade or so, guitar and bass necks. As I used to do repairs and set ups as well as my own builds I've worked on quite a few on instruments brought in to me. I've never had to do more than light fret work on any from either company, usually just tidy up and smooth fret ends, one MM needed a couple of high spots taking down and re rounding, but just the work of a few minutes.
MM necks come in one profile, the AP range offers different neck profiles, thicknesses and fretboard radii, from memory, 7-1/2", 9-1/2" and 12". True that most AP necks have heel truss rod adjustment, but if you're building from parts, or making your own body, just rout a short channel to allow easy access, so then you have truss rod adjustment without having to take the neck off. (Some bodies come pre routed for truss rod access.)
I've had one AP neck on a test bed bass that lives in the workshop, so not really babied, (temperature variations, little care and attention etc.) it's over ten years old and a strait and true as the day it was set up. The Japanese generaly make pretty good necks. (Hosco, also from Japan seem pretty good too, based on the couple I've done set ups on.)
