Mike Dirnt Precision Bass? Shall I?

Trying a bunch is good advice. I happen to like the sound of the Fender Dirnt and think is is rather different from most Fender P-basses. Darker.

All that said, save up more money and get a Road Worn. OMG. Great bass for the money.

I plan on getting a Line 6 lowdown 300. I've heard the things and they mimic the SVT tone very nicely, and thats without the treble cranked ( how i like it ).

I wont be able to tell if the neck and weight will bother me until i play it i guess.

As long as it aint too uncomfy and nails dirnt's sound, im happy

Personally I dislike Fender, But you seem adamant about your fondness for the dirnt bass. I say get it it'll be your loss and his gain (royalty check comming your way Dirnt)

im not at all adamant about it yet. I havent touched one. I just like the look of the bass and its specs.
