When they were in the super bowl 2 years ago, the entire Super Bowl Shuffle was my voicemail greeting. If you didn't want to sit and listen to the shuffle, then I didn't want to hear your message anyway.

try being a pats fan in chicago. hell most of the bears fans still think its 1986 :rollno:

my father's a pats fan, and he still thinks it's the 85-86 season. 2 super bowls ago, my ol' man, he was rootin for the colts, THE COLTS! The same Indy Colts who prevented our boys from playin' at that game. I says "Dad, I love ya and everything, but I'm gonna have to disagree with you, I mean why the colts?" He says, "The bears were mean to the patriots in super bowl XX." All I could say was "live in the now, man:rollno:"

Former coach of the Super Bowl winning 1986 Chicago Bears. Fridge Perry was a HUGE lineman that they would sometimes send on a off tackle runing play ( like in the Super Bowl that year), adn Dick Butkus has one of the best middle linebackers in the league, playing exclusively for the Bears in the early 70's.

American football man!

Ditka won his first Super Bowl ring as a DALLAS COWBOY! ;)

Why's it called football if you're always using your hands!

Punting, kickoffs, and field goals. The ball makes contact with the kicker's foot. We might not kick the ball as much as soccer folks, but we still technically use a foot to move the ball. :D

Watch a Bears game this season. You'll see plenty of punting (disclaimer: I'm a Bears fan. I'm just not expecting a good season this year:bawl:)!

Hang in there, friend. The only thing they are missing is a quarterback. Kyle Orton did a pretty good job at the end of the season last year too IMO!

Call it what you want, it's still Soccer to me:)

To be fair, the British invented the word Soccer. There are varying theories as to how this was done. The accepted origin is that it's the derivation of a contraction for "Football Association". socca->socker->soccer.

Long story short, we didn't make the word. So if you hate the word soccer, blame british university students from the late 19th century. We just liked the word and used it. :p

:DNothing wrong with playing the British card. It's better than playing the American Card...:hiding:

I've tried to watch cricket, but I just couldn't get into it. It felt like watching golf, except I didn't have a clue what was going on. Then I looked up the rules and decided it isn't worth it. What can I say, I'm just a dumb American...:D
