Mike Lull

Yeah, he was a great guy, so nice and helpful all those times I bugged him on the phone. And he left behind a lot of amazing instruments for us to play and enjoy. (He made me an amazing fretless V4, and I have a used NAMM PJ4 I bought here on TB, also amazing.) I am hopeful that the shop will live on without him, I know he has some good people who have worked with him for many years.

So long Mike, you will be missed!

Nice obituary of Mike Lull in today's Seattle Times...

Excerpt:
Mr. Lull was born in Eugene, Oregon, in 1954, and moved to Bellevue when he was 5. He started playing guitar in ninth grade and was immediately drawn to the bass.“It was the coolest thing in my life at the time,” Mr. Lull said in a 2012 Seattle Times story. “And I was really drawn to the low end and the support role that the bass played. It gave the music power.”

Mike Lull, the boss of bass guitars for bands like Heart, Cheap Trick and Pearl Jam, dies at 66
