My brother and I got to see this show last night at Cain’s Ballroom. I had never heard of this band, but my wife received two comp tickets. It was a lot of fun! Mike played his Rickenbacker all night.
Wow, that would’ve been so cool to see. REM had a massive influence on me and being up close and personal with Buck and Mills would be an experience I wouldn’t soon forget!

Fronted by Steve Wynn, principle talent of the Dream Syndicate, one of the notable bands of the early 80’s Los Angeles ‘Paisley Underground’ scene.
Guitarist/keyboardist Scott McCaughey, veteran of Portland and Seattle alternative bands, has been an auxiliary R.E.M. member, plus working with Robyn Hitchcock along with Peter Buck and the late Bill Reiflin(Ministry, King Crimson).
Wynn’s wife, drummer Linda Pitmon, came from Minneapolis band Zuzu’s Petals, and has played along with Buck and McCaughey in Austin, TX singer/songwriter Alejandro Escovedo’s band. Also, Linda played with my wife in an all-female back-up group several years back for Marty Willson-Piper, former guitarist for Australian band, The Church(more Rickenbackers!).
