Love Watt. Big inspiration to me as a bassist and musician overall.
One of the best shows I saw was him, Tom Watson, and Jerry Trebotic at the Grog Shop in October of 2000. Luckily there's a soundboard of that floating around out there.
About ten years ago I four-tracked a note-for-note, solo tribute to the first Minutemen EP (Paranoid Time) and posted it to some Watt message board. His response was, good job, but do it your own way! And he was totally right...
Gotta respect a guy like him, still touring, the man in a van w/ a bass in his hand. A true soldier!
