MIM Fender Jazz - Help Me Pick a "Haunting" Pickguard!

So, I'm currently looking into the purchase of a left-handed Fender MIM Standard Jazz Bass. I'm set on getting one of three colors for the finish: Black, Arctic White, and Olympic White.

Out of the three, I think I'm liking the Olympic White body finish the most. I'm aiming to customize it for a "spooky", "eerie" look and glow, so I feel the Olympic White may be best suited for this. I'm drawing my inspiration from the Mario Bros. games (think "Big Boo" and the haunted mansions ).

However, I don't know what to pick for a pickguard. So, I looked up some samples on WDMusic and narrowed it down to these:

Yeah, that's what it looks like... I guess I wasn't thinking about it when I picked the sample photo, but I don't think that's what it's supposed to look like.

Other photos I've seen of an actual MIM Jazz with Olympic White don't look like that

So... Tie-dye is leading the pack, with black abalone and black pearl close behind it.

I think I'm having an easier time narrowing my options now. It's just a matter of finding a good deal on an MIM Jazz in Olympic White... or heck, even Arctic White would be nice.

Given the choices I voted black abalone, but the tie dye is a close second.

I noticed you omitted tort, but given the look you were going for I understand why.

I actually would go for a tort guard on Olympic white but I guess thats not very haunting!

I have a lefty MIM Jazz bought new last year. Its sunburst and I added a classic red tort guard which looks really cool.

I had a hell of a time finding a lefty jazz pickguard that actually fit. I ordered an aged creme pearl guard from one company and when it arrived, it didn't fit right. Sent it back and had a local guitar luthier make me one from scratch.

Let me know where you get yours from and how it works out!

I voted smoked mirror, as I felt it would be "eeriest" under stage lights with a smoke machine going.

Sans lights and smoke, I'd go for the black pearl, as it sort of "implies" smoke machine without being a cartoon.
