funny enough, I had a white fender jazz that I sold for a midnight wine p bass. haven't missed the jazz and ain't lookin back.

Not sure how much tonal differance there is going to be. Playability yes ,especially with Fender (or any other make) , assuming they are properly set up allowing a fair comparison.
