It's more about the one Bassist, to the stage, with one trip to load it in.Is it the amp that is hard to move around and set up, or the speaker boxes Robin?

They are and I added a 4ohm cast frame Black Widow that makes it even better.Love it!
I've heard those Portabass cabs are great!
Take care,

Maybe you should be considering a bass combo (In one hand and your guitar in the other)?
A combo is a possibility, but I like the mix and match ability of a head and cab. I do have a Sans Amp RPM and Ashley BP-41 pre amp.. and somewhere in the universe, there's a QSC single space 2X50 watt power amp I loaned some one years ago.. Maybe I should track that amp down and go that route. I used to use the RPM to get a little dirtier tone in a Rush Tribute Band. The Trace AH350 allowed me to plug the RPM into the power section, so I could A/B from the Trace amp, or bypass the trace pre and play through the RPM with the same amp/ speakers. The Ashley came with a power amp I bought for a PA, and I have taken it to a few studio sessions, It sounds pretty good as well. Or maybe I should look for a newer, more powerful amp that doesn't weigh much.. I'm liking this quest ;-)

Jeez Robin, I thought you wanted to make your life simpler!
I pull a fold-up cart with my fearless 112 on it. My Puma is velcro'd to the cab. My accessories case rides on top. And in my other hand is my bass case. Works well, unless there's steps:-(
A cab with wheels and a handle?I'm just exploring possibilities. I see a cab in one hand, possibly a 4 space rack in the other, and a Bass on my back. No cart needed.

Good lck to you... let us know how it turns out...I picked up a behringer NU1000 power amp today. In a perfect world, it's output is 1000 watts. I'll be taking it back, and get an NU3000. The flip side of the coin is it sounded pretty good with my RPM through the Ashdown 2X10.
The quest continues!

Somewhat unreliable and completely unrepairable.Peavey used to make these: https://assets.peavey.com/literature/manuals/80301828.pdf
DPC1400X - 1 rackspace & bridgeable for 1400W @ 4 ohm.
They come up for sale once in awhile on the used marketplace.
Well that's good to know - I've been salivating over them every time I see one come up for sale.Somewhat unreliable and completely unrepairable.
They are pretty cool as being the first reasonably priced mass produced class "D" power amp and work fine until they don't - but have a tendency to take your cabs with them when they blowWell that's good to know - I've been salivating over them every time I see one come up for sale. Now I can save the saliva.
