I think it's the only one made, maybe 1 more out there. My friend Interceptor had 4X6" version he was beta testing for Duke. I'd been having trouble hearing really low fundamentals (aging ears). He mentioned a bigger version w/8's. I spoke with Duke, he was not going to persue the 4X8 favoring the size and weight and lower cost of the original 4X6 version and he sold me the prototype. 37lbs. B&C drivers no tweet 4 ohms. It's been about perfect for me.

Whoa, that looks awesome. Can you point to any more info about that cab? Never seen one.

Yes, emblymouse has the only Birdhouse 48 currently in existence. The woofers are the 16-ohm version of the Faital 8PR200, four of them in parallel for a 4-ohm load (they do look like B&C's, but I don't think B&C makes a 4 ohm or 16 ohm version of their 8" woofers, so if I want to do a 4-ohm cab, the field narrows). The woofers are rated at 200 watts each, and they have sufficient excursion to make use of that much power without farting out, so it can take a lot of power for a little cab. The weird driver configuration is for the sake of getting fairly consistent tonal balance over a wide area. I've had people tell me that that configuration works well for improv jazz, which makes sense, because the musicians need to be able to tell what each other is doing. (I'm not a musician so I rely a lot on what musicians tell me.)

Every now and then someone asks me about that cab. The woofers are pretty pricey so I don't think I'd sell a lot of them, but since my conversation with emblymouse on the subject, I've changed my mind and decided to make it part of my lineup, alongside the little Birdhouse 46 that he mentioned. Both cabs are getting a make-over, going from narrow and deep to wide and shallow (or at least wider and shallower). Neither make-over is finished yet.

Does this count? Rumble 500 and a 4ohm Acme Low B2. Both bought used from GC, about $350 shipped. The Acme is a second generation, so it's a bit older but still works fine.

And just for fun I'll post my Mini Guitar Rig of Doom!!!

Orange Micro Dark 20 Watt amp and a 112 DIY cabinet using a Celestion GT100 12" speaker. Surprisingly loud for such a cute little amp.

My rig is two Hartke Kickback 15's that I have "decomboed" so I could stack the cabs. The second head is remounted vertically in the top cab and the exposed head runs the bottom cab. I have them linked together using the direct out. I can get a biamped tone that I really like and I always have a spare with me. These heads are only rated as 120 watts each but, using both, there is a huge difference in both volume and tone.
