Is there a possiblity that we could see the 112 ontop of the 115.
I'm thinking about getting a UL115, and I would like to experiment with it under My NYC410 or my UL112.

I got an Epifani 112NYC on Sat. it was second hand but looked like new.
Unfortunately it wouldnt handle my low B string, even at very low levels with the setting i wanted to use (see the EQ and master in the pic). so i took it back and got a UL115. again, second hand but much nicer as a one cab small-mid sized gig setup. I did like the sound of the 112NYC though.

Dave, I think I see your problem. I've been reading most of your other posts.....You're eq'ing the hell out of a head that doesn't need it. Next time you play live set the amp flat, maybe a little bass boost, and try playing like that. You'll hear yourself a lot better like that. You shouldn't need to do anything else eq wise to get a great sound, other than maybe moving the filters around a bit. If you do, get a hold of some other basses to try through it to compare to your Lakland. You're taking out all the mids, which is what helps you cut through in a live situation.
I agree, if what is pictured there is you actual amp settings I can understand why the 112 sounded bad. The Epifani 112 should not really have any problem handling a B. Of course the 115 will be better with it though.

While im not disagreeing with you the amp settings were only for my kitchen, in fact i didnt set them in any specific setting when i took the shots. I had been adjusting them to get a nice tone and to try and get rid of the rasping sound. At lower volume i did boost the lows more than i would at a gig.
Also when i took the cab back we played through a LMII with all the EQ flat apart from a small low end boost and still we got the sound. All this was happening at very low volumes.
It did seem it was more down to the way i was playing. just lightly tapping the string causing a very low boosted note to sound. We did get a good low B out of it by backing the lows off very slightly but i was too paranoid by then and also got the feeling the cab was over priced.
Normally i would have the EQ flat other than a small low end boost and mostly rely on the filters to shape the sound. having both around 9-10 o'clock

Can i ask do you use that cab on its side at gigs and if so do you loose anything by doing so?
My UL115 seems to be a similar set up and i was wondering if i can run it on its side without changing the sound too much.

here we goI just got this rig. My 1st gig will be tomorrow night. I'll try it on it's side tomorrow and the other way next week. Here at home I noticed a change that was ever so slight, I'm not concerned too much.

Ill be trying my UL115 on its side at my next gig but that's not until 27Th Jan.
I have settled on this for the mean time. I am having just too much fun with the Mesa, plus I like the Mouse a little better with the Mesa, so I sold the Little Mark II.
the Mouse looks good....and it must sounds great with the boogie/bergie combo
Thanks Rich, the Mouse and the boogie/bergie is a lot of fun and ridiculously huge sounding. The Mouse has been receiving most of my playing time recently.
Killer little rig. What's the Markbass + Bergi combination like? Nice and loud?
