I am not a fan of rat style and worry about every new scratch, and even bumpers also do not give me peace of mind. But I like the idea that double bass is not a violin and it cannot look perfect. It is too large and is always scratched when used. If you enter a new room and you can choose from several double basses - take the most scratched one. It was played most of all, probably because it had the best sound. Scars adorn the bass.
