it seems that when I turn the mid eq control of the preamp towards the middle to upper positions, the sound gets too focused and quite very mid-y, but when I do the opposite, which is to turn down the mid and hi mid controls, the sound gets quite boomy, muddy, and almost without any focus at all, which I despise. I tried tinkering also with the depth and compression knobs, but I can't seem to get the perfect tone that i prefer. any suggestions on this?
