What the heck is a Lerxst? Is that some wacky inside Rush fan name for Alex Lifeson or something? My bet is that, at that point in his career, Lerxst did not understand what swung 8ths were. He just played what he thought was right.

Those first two albums are well known for being rushed through by the producer, and when they wanted to re-record some things, the producer wouldn't let them.I noticed a bunch on black Sabbath's paranoid album. All of the one's I noticed happend to be Tony sloppily ending some riffs. Especially in the analog age, you can't really throw out a great track for hopes of a perfect one.
Yes, that is what that is.What the heck is a Lerxst? Is that some wacky inside Rush fan name for Alex Lifeson or something?

You might have one, and not even know it.I wish I had a wacky inside fan name.
Mistakes are part of being human, part of what really happens when we do ANYTHING, including playing.
One of My favorite "mistakes" is a recording of Beethoven's 8th Symphony with Solti and Chicago. In the first movement, measures 380-385 if I remember, a ringing telephone can clearly be heard.
I wish I had a wacky inside fan name.
