I had some slack time near GC today, so I thought I'd look at 5ers with an eye toward finding one to experiment with. One of them was a Mitchell, and this is what the fret ends did to my hand:
There was no blood but it actually still hurts a little, and I'm sure blood would have resulted in due time. I've had fret sprout before, but this wasn't so much fret sprout as machining burrs fresh from an abrasive cutting wheel.
