    Do I need a 5 string?

    I own a P a J and a semi hollow with mini humbuckers, all 4. Now I strongly gassing a 5er. One with MM type pickups maybe, to complete the sound palette. I mostly play rock/blues, I don't slap, I wouldn't define 'excellent' my technique, but I've got big hands with long fingers. Do I need it? :)
