MITCHELL BASS AMPS-NEED INFO

I bought a solid state Mitchell Power Mini Bass amp model MLT ser # 1148 off craigslist for 80 bucks, works ok, needs a new input jack
does anyone have info like wattage, what kind of speaker, etc?
It also has slave amp and preamp out jacks-how do I use them? Many fanks!

Is it a combo? You can probably tell us more than we can tell you as far as speaker goes. All I've found is that Mitchell produced amps from '78 to '86. Google wasn't much help.

Does it have a wattage on the speaker out? If not, what's the wattage listed by the AC cable? Expect the amp's output to be around 25-60% of that, lower if it's older or tube.

Preamp outs are good for sending your preamp's signal to the board or PA. The slave amp jack is so you can use another amp as a power amplifier run off of the Mitchell's preamp.

That's about all I could find, other than some site wanting to sell me used price blue books. Don't know if the 10 in the model number means 10 watts or what. The "MLT" might be a different amp entirely. The used price site listed them as having EV or Gauss speakers. Have to pay/create an account to get an actual price suggestion.

The preamp out and slave amp jacks will be for chaining along more amplifiers to run more speakers. The preamp out would feed another poweramp. The slave amp jack might do the same thing, or it's an "in" jack to have another pre feed your amp.

A tickle in the brain cell archive suggests that the Mitchell cabs were possibly linked to Quilter Sound Corp.

A local store carried the Mitchell PA cabs, (front firing and sized and appearance like the Bose 901's) and Quilter rack gear, can't remember which one had a mixing board though.
