As for our setup we use Shure wireless packs that require 9v batteries and boy that gets expensive. Two four-hour gigs on one 9v battery is the absolute best case scenario and when the battery drops below a certain level you lose your IEMs just like THAT. So definitely +1 to using packs that run on AA if you can find them.

As for buds I use FutureSonics Atrios that I got for under $200 (eBay, shipped), and they do everything I want.

Well I just picked up the Presonus 16.0.2 for IEM monitors. $1250.00 if I recall. I fogot which online company I bought it from but they let me spread it out over 5 months. It has 4 aux outs and of course the main out so you could get 5 mixes.
