Just wanted to give a shout out to MJC Ironworks. Ordered a 6 string set of stainless from them to record the slap lines on the upcoming album. Heard great things, figured I'd give them a shot.

Due to global pandemic, anarchy, etc. They dropped the order and it shipped out a few days late. When i messaged them to ask for a status they always replied back within MINUTES, not hours, not days.

To maks up for it they are sending me a free set of strings. I told them it wasnt necessary since everything is chaos now, but they insisted and I caved.

These guys are great and easy to work with and I look forward to doing a review on their strings when they come in.

Hi. May I ask a question about shipping strings? Are you able to ship out strings at all? I’m interested in buying a set to evaluate. And I have a lot of time for that sort of thing these days....

Does anybody know if they do extra long scale, med. scale, short scale lengths, there is no mention on there site and I'm assuming what they sell are long scale strings.

This post made me curious enough to contact their customer service myself to find out.

The only winding length they offer currently is 37" ball end to taper.

I ordered a set August 8th. I received an order confirmation from them, but then it’s been silence since then.

Emailed them again for the second time today and nothing yet.

I would expect at least a reply to let me know there’s someone there.

Luckily my order was via PayPal so i have at least SOME recourse. I asked for a refund and recvd reply that they are prepping to ship. I asked for tracking though but again, crickets.
I really just need to know if they can fulfill timely, or not. If not, fine but I'd just like my funds back to order elsewhere. Please don't just "string me along", sorry. I kinda had to there.

Received some strings today. Not what I ordered and I cannot use them. I ordered a set of 45-100 nickels, I got 45-105s. Come on man!
Please send me a return envelope and we will be happy to send these back. But I really, and I mean REALLY need the strings I ordered. thanks

It looks like the man running the company and making the strings was battling cancer at the time that some had issues with their orders. He won his wings against the cursed C over a month ago. The bass community lost another good one. I’m glad his pain is over and pray for comfort for those that love him.
