MM Cutlass Fretless?

A question for all you MusicMan fanatics. :help:

I've searched the web, I've searched TB, spent a lot of time looking for the answer before posting the question.

"Did MM ever make fretless Cutlasses?"

I vaguely recall reading one of Monsieur Pomeroy's vintage bass articles about a Cutlass and a Sabre, one being fretless... maybe.

The closest I've come to such info is from the Ernie Ball forums where one EBer states: "Some of the Cutlass necks used to warp and bow. They also don't have a trussrod. The only way to remedy was to to defret and shave them for a fretless setup."

So, MM experts. Did a "graphite"-necked Cutlass escape the MM factory sans frets?

I own a factory fretless cutlass. It has the rarer cutlass only (without 1 or 2) decal. To my knowledge It is the only one ever produced.
