Well recently i purchased a ray34 and well it was dead quiet until I plugged it unto an m-audio interface, suddenly I get all this hum and well noise (didn't have it on my amp), I figured out that by touching either the cable at the metal area, the control plate or any knob, or the bridge cancelled all that noise, but I thought MM pickups were silent , so I headed here , any tips any help on how to get rid of all that noise and hum?
I really need help , I've heard some things about shielding the pickups but I don't know if that's the issue D: I need help ....I 'm counting on you....

:help:

I did try both , still that buzz and hum , today I tried it in a bigger rig (ampeg Svt-3 pro), I also checked all the pots and wiring, I checked also the string and pickup height but still not a clue of where that sound comes from ... although the bigger rig reduces the noise , I still get an audible noise which also is considerably reduced by rolling down the mid knob on the bass, I changed and double checked strings , batteries and even the amp :C

Is it possible maybe that the pickup is a failed one? , I read that humbuckers cancel out the noise because they have 2 coils , so if I get noise is it possible that the pickup is failing and i am getting only a single coil?
