Which bass should I keep? One has to go!

What kind of Sadowsky do you have? If it is a 24 fret Modern, dump it because it covers the same ground as the Quantum. If you have a Jazz, then it all depends on what sound you like the most.

What kind of music do you play? To me, the Modulus has a more modern sound. I prefer that sound personally.

i thought that a Sad was the bass for me and I was ready to sell my Mod to finance one, but then I realized that I feel like I can express myself better on my Q4 than any other bass I have ever played. The metro may do the same for you that my Mod does for me, so be sure do sit down with both before you decide to sell.

I'd go w/the Q5,due to the non-shifting neck during climate changes.And besides!!It's a Modulus!!My .02.I've always liked "out of the norm" basses (graphite),anyway. Can't say nothin' bad about a Sadowsky,either.Which one serves you best????That's the question.

if you own both, take some time and drink it over before deciding. It would be hard to choose right or wrong on this one.

I'd sell the Sadowsky. I have nothing against the Sadowsky per se - but if I was in your shoes, I'd be keeping the Mod.

I cut my teeth on Fender. I'd rather play on old P or J than anything so naturally I thought, "I'll dig the Sadowsky".

When it comes to 5 strings, I don't mind the modern thing. I have a Peavey Cirrus 5 that I really love. It's a great bass. And obviously I have this Q5.

So anyway, I got the Sadowsky and out of the box I was impressed. Huge lows with presence. I got it to my Country gig and the FOH asked me to roll off the lows. Not a problem. It certainly doens't cut thru the mix like my Q5 does and the B string isn't nearly as tight as my Q5. I just can't afford to keep both and don't know which one to part with. Plus, I like the bridge on the Q5 a lot better.

One things is that do a substantial amount of road work so climate change is a factor for me. I noticed the Sadowsky does not have any type of neck stiffening bars from what I've read.

I REALLY want a USA Fender P5. I'm just thinking out loud.

That sounds that it leans more towards the need then a want.

The Q5 you will not have to worry about on the road trust me

jazzbass1967, you must have twelve basses, and at least two guitars, pardon me asking, but why do you need to get rid of one the two you mentioned? Just sell five or sex of your cheaper basses instead if there is a crucial financial need.

My bad. I would be embarrased to see how many basses I have owned. I say keep the Quantum and get my BB415 in the classifieds as a backup since you want a P5.
