yep! what do you think? I've always wanted a bass with inlays, so this is probably the closest I will get.

it's adjustable, but it's as narrow as .562. (a little over 14mm) I can fit all 5 strings in the space of a normal 4 string setup
Yesterday I strung it up with 4 strings, but with the top 3 strings as tight spacing (even though the nut still just has 4 slots) wanted to see if it was too tight by the bridge,and it was fine.
Taking it to a shop this week to see if they can alter the nut. If they can't I'm tempted to try to cut it myself. If the shop is going to have to replace the nut, nothing will be lost by attempting it myself. I'd rather use the metal nut if possible.

Gave up on the idea of saving the metal nut. A local place is going to make a new bone nut for me and do the setup.
Should have it back by Saturday, but it might be tuesday at the latest.

ok, it's done, and it's FABULOUS, but I'm not going to post a final picture of it until I get the bridge area better looking. I'm going to Dress it up using the original bridge.

From what I{ve read, the T40 is extremely versataile and never fails to dissapoint on it{s tonal possibilites.
It{s a machine with many uses.
That bridge looks like it belongs on a hightech machine. I{d say its perfect!
