Mode MDM1605

This video is in the orginal Ibanez Mode thread that popped up a while back. I just stumbled upon on it last night though. This guy really makes that Ibanez sound good.

I made it through 15 minutes of this 2 hour plus video and the Mode 1605 sounds really good. The man demoing it is a pro and he is skilled enough to make any well made bass sound good. This bass would be a good investment for someone a quality mid priced bass.

I need to see if any local shops have these in stock. That preamp looks a bit too busy, like a Sire, but it is pretty and definitely sounds good.

I think if you can get past the number of knobs, its pretty intuitive. Vol blend tone. Bass mid treble. Linear arrangement. Different sized knobs to distinguish the active and passive sections.

I played one in a store and never wondered what any of the knobs were doing

If you get further into the video he demos the EQ section and goes through all the mid settings. It’s a great deep dive into what this bass can do.
