moderator approval of messages?

Hi,

I'm a fairly new active member here despite my registration date. Some of my posts (maybe all, I didn't check everyone) were captioned by this statement: "This message is awaiting moderator approval, and is invisible to normal visitors.", which disappeared later and after that I think the pots were made public.
Is this standard procedure for every post or just for new active members or just for certain kind of posts (containing links, pictures, etc.)? No criticism, I'm just curious and couldn't find anything in the search. Thanks for your help!

it's typically first posts which contain links, it's part of our anti spam measures, nothing personal! After a period, this won't happen anymore, sorry for any inconvenience

Thanks for the info. Good to know there are measures taken to improve & maintain quality! Would be nice to get that info with the message, though.

The less info we give a spammer, the better
