Ok So im a new bass player and im starting to exsplore the different modes that go with the major scale. I understand that a mode is just a different degree of a scale but im lost on how to use them. For example: If the band is playing a song in the key of C and they happen to play an Eminor Chord, would i play an E Phrygian mode over that Chord to embelish the song or would it be C phrygian?
