Modifycation of my Squier standard precision bass

Ok.I have this bass and i love it!Everything except sound..Output is weak and no punch enough.I am thinking to buy Dimarzio p/j or to rewind stock pickups.Does it worth to mod this cheap bass?What do you think?Any experiences?Thank you wery much.

Yes. Some people's main players are modded Squiers and SXs. A new setup of pickups will make a significant difference in your sound.

Dimarzio is a good choice. You might also look at Seymour Duncan.
