moding pedals

hey guys!
This may be old news here, but I havent found somethinf satisfactory through my search, so I wanted to see, what exactly would moding a guitar pedal for bas include?
lets say I got a guitar fuzz/distortion/drive and didnt want it to cut my bass frequencies so mych or whatever other idea I might want?

First, check out Invalid Link Removed , visit their (very awesome) forum, and check out all of their links to other resources. For bass-specific stuff here on TB, try searching on the terms "diy" ("do it yourself") and "modding" (spelled with two d's in the middle). Sometimes all that you need to do to mod a pedal for more bass is to replace one or two capacitors (cheap and easy), but sometimes it can be more complicated. Enjoy!

A common mod for more bass is replacing the input or output caps with ones of higher capacitance. It's very easy to do if you know your way around a soldering iron. Most mods are just replacing a component or 2, just a couple minutes worth of work.
