Hi there!
I’m trying to identify the type of modulation pedal I always wanted and, well, your help would be appreciated!
What I’m looking for is an effect that does some kind of swoosh that is not metallic sounding like most flangers, but not affecting the whole tone like a phaser. In addition, the pedal would produce a doubling effect, like a chorus, but not too deep and with the bottom left clean and focused (so, pretty much an effect affecting the high frequencies).
So far… I have an EHX Bass Clone. It sounds great, but it doesn’t do what I described… I tried the Ampeg Liquifier and almost got there. Unfortunately, it was too noisy for me. I get close to that swoosh with an old Ibanez Soundtank Bass Chorus by setting the delay time of the chorus somewhere near the flanging point, but the rest of the sound gets too thick and undefined.
I’m guessing maybe some sort of dual chorus with a delay time control and crossover would work, if it exists… but I’m not even sure.
Any ideas what I should check?
