Dude, I think that's a knockoff! There's something wrong with the body shape and the logo. I wonder if the neck is actually carbon fiber.

No neck relief adjustment access at the heel. The more I look at it, the more I'm convinced it's a knock off. If the neck is indeed carbon fiber, it might be worth a roll of the dice if you can get it for a good price but I don't think that's a gamble I'd take without knowing the actual neck composition.

In other words, tread very carefully!

One of my all time favorite basses! What years are your FB4s? I miss my '96 Silver Sparkle FB4 badly!! :crying:

I was on the site maybe two days ago and it was up. Just checked and getting a 404. Could be a glitch but does worry me with all the talk of going under. :\

Guess there is also the possibility that they are in the process of updating the site with some kind of official statement.

Curious to see how this plays out but to be honest until I can afford another Modulus bass it really doesn't matter much. Feel bad, though, for anyone with an instrument on order or those wanting to order one but left hanging with no info.

I feel ya, I miss my 97 blue flake as well!

The Silver flake is an 05 and the blue flake is an 03. I got the 03 first and its a little ~10.5 lbs (according to my crappy scale), definitely a little on the heavy side....then i got the 97 without the truss rod and it was light compared to the 03 ~9.5lbs...I then fell in love with the 97s, because they were light and sleeker and more original with the flea logo...then I tried a newer modulus at GC and realized that I just had a heavy 03, and that most moduluses, truss rod or not, were around 9 lbs....so I got the 05 and was lucky for it to be at 9-9.5lbs!

So now i got a heavy blue flake, which the weight makes it sound so bada## and more punchy and growly...dubbed it my Studio Modulus....and now I have the light weight 05 modulus as my Stage Modulus
