..."Word".I'm not aware of Pat doing any MG finishes. Certainly there could have been some after '95. For maximum effect, you'd have to totally remove the clear finish first.

I could be mistaken about that. But yes, it'd have to be stripped and then refinished. Well above my pay gradeI'm not aware of Pat doing any MG finishes. Certainly there could have been some after '95. For maximum effect, you'd have to totally remove the clear finish first.
I like the sound of TI Flats on the 95 Q4. But I prefer flats on everything. And you have to get the Extra Long Scale, which are harder to find.does anyone use flats on their quantum? I cant deal with finger noise of rounds and may be bored of my chromes. I tried the slick rounds but kept getting bad b and e strings, and no pop with the slap of the e string
Pic pf me and my Q5 last week at a b;ies jam... trying to get out and play more...
I saw my buddy (and fellow tb’er) getting ready to take the picture, so I struck a poseGood to see, for someone who says they can't pay it looks like beautiful hand positioning and keeping on eye on the guitar players solo. I have gotten I lot of you posts, and taking this pic to thank my brother from the band of Moduli.

is this cocobolo or another wood that is similar?

Modulus Graphite Quantum 2005 Gloss Natural | The Bass Shop
the listing is from the folks at the bass shop in seattle. also mentions that the body is ash but it looks like alder to me. the weight posted on the ad is almost 10lbs. (my alder bodies are around 9lbs. and my one bass with an ash body is 10lbs.)
just curious. no funds to chase this bird but it looks nice. what say you?
definitely alder back. I don't know 100%, but I would guess something like chechen for the top wood. I'm not a chechen expert, but they were using it back then, and had moved away from cocabola. It just doesn't have that red element I expect in cocabola.is this cocobolo or another wood that is similar?

yes, i think that was confusing my brain. the top of the bass pictured looked a bit more 'brown' in my eyes if that makes any sense.definitely alder back. I like phenolic or chechen boards on my Q5’s... and i would only want LEDS or luminlay (glow in the dark) markets on the side- like the clean frontWhat I don't get is the whole "Street price starting at $$$ New" thing. Really? Posted on Reverb, those 12 of us out there shopping for Modulus' everyday know what they are new, used, beat up, aged and everything else. Sorry for the rant. Nice looking bass though.. I need a 5 string Q cheap enough to replace the fretboard with a Maple board and add LED lights to it!!
EDIT - pnutz or Fred.. DO NOT STEAL MY IDEA.. or I am going to have to wait until you sell it to buy it from you![]()
