Modulus Mob

could be wrong about the 'wood' dowel...but there is something that the screw seats into.
The headstocks on mine are hollow, but the carbon fiber is about 3/16" thick which is about as deep as those little screws go. Just like when you have this style tuner on a wood neck, you only want to tighten these screws until they are just tight, you don't want to really crank on them 'cause they'll either strip the hole out or break off.

Yeah, gold...hit and miss for me too, for sure. Thought I'd tone it down combining black parts with the gold...but well see after everything is together. Just trying something different. If it looks like queso fresco all can be changed back. My problem is I like a new look on my basses every now and then. I've got 4 pickgaurds for my 62avri pbass lol. oh well...
