Modulus Mob

I love Bartolini, but the person wiring the harness that day must have been hung over. 'Suitable' but somewhat sloppy. No where near the neatness of the photo I uploaded. Took me a few days, off and on, stretching out the crumpled and bent up wire into neat rows, like they come from the Modulus shop (who knows, maybe Modulus has to comb through the preamps to get them looking sharp and good as well). As far as fit, each pot had plenty of wire for the Quantum layout, no problems at all.
You figure there’s a 2/5 chance it was done on a Monday or a Friday ;) . Glad you got it sorted out, but I think I’m done with prewired preamps.

To add, I have a huge beef with the quality of the blend pot - very, very poor. I am putting a different one asap. The pot doesn't handle the pickup load at full blend very well at all. I tried to find the exact one online; what looks identical is a .05 cent 250k blend from over seas. Anyway, I'm good with the soldering iron and will upgrade the harness as needed for the best tone and highest quality parts.

Here's a good place to start for sourcing pots - Invalid Link Removed

In the old days, there was one balance knob we used that didn't have the traditional loss in the middle. Ibanez made a dual 500K blend pot that worked perfectly. We were able to buy them as spare parts back then, and use them in Bartolini setups. I don't know if they're still available. You guys seem really up on recent events. If it still exists, it would be worth knowing about.

Hey guys, sorry for the absence. Had some toxic family and health issues ultimately resulting in an unplanned move and lots of hospital and Dr fees... If anyone has time to help me admin the mob #'s please let me know in PM .I can share my Google drive mob member list so people don't have to wait so long . To anyone that didn't get a # please PM again with link to your mod .

Any body 'recently' tried the new Q-Tuner Q2.0 versions without the adjustable poles? They seem to fit the Quantum pickup cavity with a mil or two on either side 100x37 mm (new dimensions according to email conversation with Erno at Q-Tuner). Curious if they grab a low B too much...or evenly. Just checking them out. They 'look' awesome though. I know there are older threads, but wanted to see if any of you all have had experience with them recently.

whoa, is the case see-thru? interesting...

since we're talking pickups, has anyone tried nordstrand dual coils in their moduli?

am curious about what it could bring to the table...

Would these fit into a Bart Q5 route? I hate the Barts in my Q5. I like the EMG's Geoff, but would like something different for my 1994 Q5
