Modulus Mob

Did someone say burl maple? Love the natural finish on yours IdealWay. Bummer about the Q5 with LP's, I saw it and couldn't even think about buying it!

. . .Anybody else using their Modulus on a country gig?

I done some sub work over the years on my old Q5, and I also played with a "country-ish" sounding S/S buddy of mine. I am actually surprised that the Quantums are not more popular in on stage in country. They are remarkably clean and articulate with a huge, tight bottom end. Those properties work very well in country, IMO.

I don't think I would record country with my Q. Although my experiences are that the Quantum is pretty much exclusively a live performance bass, anyway.

Can I get a number? Martonebass, I see you are from Norton, MA- I am from the Cape.

Cool thread, here's mine:

I did. I ended up parting with both of the Sadowskys. One I kind of miss, the other not so much.

I also bought a Dingwall Afterburner II which I have had great results with so far, but I am looking forward to the weekend and getting a bi of gig time on the Q.

It's called Black Cherry Velvet. It sounds like dessert. That's probably appropriate though, because this bass is SWEET!!!! :D

Nice Chasarms...
I have the same finish in a 95 Q5 with the GGBB Barts in it.
It was my main bass for a long time and I still use it regularly.
