I'm back in the "Mob" after a too-long hiatus with a matched pair of Flea 5s in different pickups configs. Didn't really mean to get two, but after going gaga over the lane-poor equipped MM one, when the JJ presented itself as a trade I thought "why not?"

I think they need tort guards, otherwise they're amazing. The MM could be the best 5 I've ever had.

These two have got me GASing for one of the new 34" scale quantums. Does anybody here have one?

Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics.....

But to make that up, I did add a recording with the Modulus FB4. No slapping and popping, but some soft dynamic fingerpicking and a tiny little bit of tapping....Signal chain is Modulus FB4 > Korg DT10 > Comp > Valvedrive > Delay > Ashdown EVO 500 > Ashdown 4x10 > Studio Projects mic > mixer > soundcard > computer...there's a DI signal as well....anyways.....enjoy...or not.....

It's called Black Cherry Velvet. It sounds like dessert. That's probably appropriate though, because this bass is SWEET!!!!
