Mogami Patch Cables

Ok, it wasn't really directed at you. I chuckled a little at this. You're test proves just what I'm saying as well...audibly, if there is a difference, I can't hear it.

I know... I don't take it too seriously or personally and it's actually all in fun. The reason I have those cables is I went through a cable buying phase a few years wanting to try different kinds out in the quest for quality of tone... only to discover I couldn't tell the difference.
I'll hold off a little longer on revealing the correct order of the recording as to let others play the game.
Buying the placebo effect is not snide or insulting, it is an accurate assessment of what's happening. Confirmation bias would also be accurate.

This is an old tired argument that nobody ever wins because none of us can prove our arguments either way.
I admit I don't know for a fact but I choose to play it safe and drive in the middle lane of the argument.
Instead of spending ludicrous amounts of money on the really "high end" stuff or buying the cheapest cables.......I run my pedalboard with custom made Klotz patch cables from Lava and a Klotz cable from Sadowsky out of the bass to the pedalboard.
Roger Sadowsky gave the Klotz a thumbs up after testing different cables looking for something to endorse and sell in his line of products......I dunno what thats worth to you...of course he is trying to sell a product be he also cares very much about his reputation....that said I love his strings, his DI pedal, his instruments are fantastic, I even have one of his straps and its all I use. He even makes one of the most innovative bass cases out there.
So in general everything Roger sells that I tried has impressed me enough to keep using, so I'm ok with taking his word for it, he knows more than me for sure. I'll sure take his opinion over the opinion of some unknown person making rude, obnoxious and quite possibly/arguably ignorant comments on a forum....that they would probably never make to another person face to face.
If I'm a "fool" for spending money on a "placebo effect", so be it, its one less thing I have to worry or wonder about.

i had our tech make all of my instrument cables and patches out of canare gs-6 with neutrik ends. seems cork sniffer-ish but it didn't cost much more than standard monster cables and to my ears the lows sound better. i'm not trying to justify anything cause i really didn't spend much since i bought in bulk.
Using good cables absolutely makes a difference. Particularly in the areas of "tone suck" and "Noise". I switched to Mogami Gold cables in the entire chain and it is noticeably quieter. Placebo my ***.
That's not to say there aren't good quality cables available for less than the Mogami, but that really wasn't the question.

So far # 4 is the leader in what people think is the Mogami... anybody else want to increase the sample size?
I know nobody gives a rat's @%$ about these types of threads, hence the low sample size... so it goes.

I'll pass this along to my counterparts @ work for ****s & grins, see if anybody can tell the difference.
As far as getting mogami cables go, you pay more for a good cable, and a lifetime no hassle exchange warranty...you break it, come get a new one. That simple.
I roll my own. Keep wasting your money and deceiving yourself. I usually think it's kinda sad, but for you I'll segue to amusing.

I've always used Monster for my high use/abuse (gig/rig) cables. The materials & build quality are just fine and the lifetime warranty pays for itself with one replacement.
For studio cables, I build my own Mogami with Neutrik connectors. Easy & fast work to assemble them with basic soldering skills and you save a LOT of money compared to buying high-end cables retail. Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing exactly what the build quality is & who to blame when they fail ;-) Check redco for supplies.
