This reminds me of the comparisons that I've seen on here where someone will record with an SX or Squire versus American made Fenders and even boutique basses. The consensus is usually that you can't really identify which bass is which. Despite audible tests and science which can prove that a less expensive bass can produce the exact same sound and frequencies as a more expensive bass, ignorant consumers still choose to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars more. Of course we go for the build quality, brand loyalty and aesthetic, but still...wood is just wood right? (sarcasm

) This world is just one giant marketing scam and if we were all wise enough to see through it, we would play Squires, drive Kia's and buy performance running shoes from Kmart.
