I've been pinged a few times for the dim's on this cab. So I figured to store it in a thread I could refer to. The design is based on a little Mojo Sonic 1x10 I bought from Scowboy some years back. I liked it enough that I engaged with TB'er Singlemalt to execute a couple of clones. We collaborated on things Mark handled all the wood. I think he did some of the finish but I may have. As he and I have done this a couple of times.

Grills are from Reliable and have the standoffs bent in. They ride on gasket material and are a nice snug fit.

The driver is the Deltalite 2510-II from Eminence.
This rig has been to 80 % of my gigs for the last 3 years. I've powered it with an MB-200 and the current Mb2-500. For what I do, it's a fantastic option...

Disclaimer and all you really need to know... small, deep, loud.... PICK TWO! This setup is voiced quite deeply and it is certainly small. Therefore it is not LOUD! with a capital L... Plenty loud enough for me most gigs but I am in the PA at every gig. The rig will carry a blues date in a moderate sized bar without support but on larger stages I take a fEarful 12.6 and MB-Fusion...

Here are the dims you need in inches

Front height total 14.125
Port Height 1.375
Baffle Height*1 12.75

Front Height should be the total of port height+baffle height.

Baffle width 12.75

Port shelf Depth*2 9.5

Cabinet interior depth 11.0625 (11 &1/16th)

notes
*1 Baffle sits flush on the port shelf so the Baffle Height value includes the thickness of the port shelf -12 mm in my case

*2 Port Diviser is also a brace. It extends all the way to the rear of the cabinet and is glued on all connecting faces

I used baltic birch, 12 mm and designed to the interior dim's of the little Mojo Sonic.

The stuffing is egg crates type matterass topper. Probably from Wally World.

As I gig it on very small stages. The wedge is the hatch cover from the upper back of the combo cab.

I need to move the head over a bit... It's held in with velcro. The fit with the power cord and 2 speakon cables is kinda tight. I should probably carry the cables in my. Gig bag...

Dog bone handle, latches, feet, jacks, corners and DuraTex are from Leland at Speaker a Hardware.com
Grills are from Reliable Hardware. Note the stand off 'bent in'. If you put a Bag End badge on these, nobody would question it... Nice tight fit and finish. Mark did a great job on these!

I recall hearing the word stroke as well. That was a few years back. That we haven't seen him since doesn't bode well for a positive outcome I'm afraid. We all be gettin' up there and there is this thing about a number and when it's up.

I was actually wanting to pair the cab I bought at the time. For me, custom was a last resort. I really liked how the MS cab was voiced. Kenny found a set of compromises - all cabs are compromises in my view - that works really well for a working guy. For me it is one of three rigs. They all have their applications. This one isn't loud enough for the loudest of what I do but it does a good job at everything else.

Nice rig Sputnik! If I could have found another, I would have done that and not gone custom. I actually used to hang an Ea Micro 300 on the side of the cab with a couple of velcro strips... I sat on the cab for some sit down new grass jams more than once...

i'll leave that to someone else. As Scowboy will attest, I don't have an excess of free time... I will say that the information up at the top of the thread is enough for someone with just a tad of cabinet building experience. The only variables are wood thickness and joinery method... my dim's describe the internal volume of the cab and I used 12 mm wood

Following up, what a over a year later...

Having had some free time over the holidays I have finally built my first Mojo Mini clone. I'd like to thank 4Mal for his detailed measurements and experience doing the same. The cab sounds exactly as I remember it. This first one that I built is going to stay in the house so I just did a light finish on the natural birch and with the contrast of the black hardware looks pretty good. The picture does it no justice. Right in the door it got the wife stamp of approval. I will order a grill in the next couple of days.

These are a really fun little cabinet with great dynamics (for what they are). I'd like to do one with the tweeter. Kenny Allyn gave me all the specs to do it but I doubt I can find them all these years later.

Nice! And congrts forgetting it done!

These are really amazing for the size. I've gigged the heck out of my pair. While thry aren't the cab my fEarful 12.6 is, it is an extremely useful piece in my stable. I'll be gigging the airhead alone on an 'un-plugged' gig Friday. For me un-plugged means my ABG's fretted and fretless come out to play and my guitarist will have his Martin and Taylor combination. The laklands and PRS's will stay home. A nice quiet wine-bar gig... The 1x10 will be perfect.

Heh, and now the top one in the OP is living Chez Wind. I'm thinking maybe DIY power amp in the head space and pedal or active bass for tone controls. Because why not, I reckon. :cool:

Cool. I've heard Mal gig with these things a few times and I think a single one will probably work great at the semi-acoustic Friday night Americana/Newgrass jam I often play at. Grab and go is a huge bonus for that scenario and the footprint will be a little smaller than the Thunderchild 112 I've typically been hauling over there for the last few years. Front porting will help too, it's a very very small space with a lot of players many times.

Thanks. OK, new drawing, with some rounder numbers -
Width: 13.25 >> 13.50
Height: 15.125 >> 15.00
Depth: 12.813 >> 12.75

With these changes, gross internal volume goes from .94cf to .99cf.
