I feel the same way as this thread. Other than a local place called "The Guitar Czar", all the mom and pop places in the entire city are a total joke. Selections, prices, and service is way out of control, I have yet to meet an owner that isn't a jerk.
The GC here practically owns this market, and rightly so, they have a huge selection, and are usually easy to deal with.
Interesting. Most local shops typically work on being more customer service oriented, although I know a few local turds, but that's probably everywhere.
We're getting a GC, but I doubt it will really affect business. Marrs didn't really do much, other than go belly up! Before I knew what they were about, I applied for a job, but they ended up hiring everyone from department store sales positions. It really showed because nobody knew anything about the stuff they were selling, other than what they were told.
Even worse still, if you indicate that you wern't that interested in the bass, you get funny looks, as if they can't understand why you wanted to try it in the first place!
