I just picked up a rack mounted Monique and am looking for a good power amp that will maximize what it can do. I will be playing through an 8 Ohm Fearless F112 (maybe x2 eventually) and would like around 800-1000 watts, rack mounted, and optimized for the output of .775 volts switchable to 1.25v that Monique is rated for.

It seems that it would make a difference whether the power amp is Class D or not- not sure of the advantage of this aside from weight, but would like to weigh that into the decision as well.

Can anyone please help me out with some suggestions? I haven't used a setup like this before. Thanks!

You can just have Jule add a 700 watt module into your exiting Monique: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

That is certainly an option. How about the Crown, Crest, QSC, etc... anyone have experience with those?

Played last night and powered through Puma 1000 effects return. Any disadvantage to doing it this way? I did notice that Monique picked up some high pitched feedback/ noise from Puma when at volume, moreso when Puma was on top. Anyone else ever hear of this happening?

I know it has been a few years, but if you're atill interested in this subject, I wanted to offer my opinion. I've owned a rack version of the Monique 700. While the built-in 700 watt class D amp is well matched, convenient and sonically pleasing, using a 1980s Mesa Strategy 400 Stereo is truly a magical pairing. In this configuration, I want for nothing more than some compression and a complimentary drive section
