PK's is having a "cookout on the deck" this Saturday (5/29) from 4-9pm. $11.99 all-you-can-eat hot dogs, burgers, ribs and all the fixin's + dessert. We're playing inside from 9:30ish till 1am-ish. No cover charge

So, any of you locals want to see a Schroeder 1210R, GenzBenz Shuttle 12.0, Warwick $$, EBS BassIQ, EBS DPhaser, MXR288, or Mono Dual bag up close and in action, you know where to be!

Quick update on my end. Back in early May when I ordered the dual bag, I also ordered an M80 single bag. It finally arrived last week. If you're scoring at home...or even if you're alone (old Keith Olbermann joke, sorry), that's a bit over three months. Talk about the slow boat from China. All during this time, Greg was a consummate pro...even when MONO misplaced the order. I hope MONO's tracking and service catch up to the quality of their products. No doubting the quality of RocketMusic's service, however.

Anyway, if the dual is arguably the best of its kind that I've tried, the single is definitely the best one-bass bag I've tried. I really, really like this bag. Securely holds a long bass (i.e. Mike Lull 35" Jazz bass with a four-on-top headstock) with a little bit of room to spare. Light and "moveable" enough to know you're dealing with a bag, but stout enough to instill confidence that the instrument is safe. The balance is perfect as well - when wearing as a backpack the straps feel great and it's easy to find the right height...almost makes me wonder if MONO would be well-served by a redesign of the straps and mounting points for the dual bag.

Anyway, kudos to Greg for the excellent service, and if you're in the market for a new gig bag...or two ... I definitely recommend a peek at MONO's offerings. Just make sure they've got stuff ready to ship, or at the very least, buy from Greg so you'll know your money will eventually turn into product.

Yeah, sorry for the less than smooth transaction on this one, Jerry. We knew it would be a wait going in, but then the wait got extended, then the order got misplaced... ughhh, less than ideal for sure.

FWIW, the people at Mono Case seem to be receptive to customer input. They certainly have been quick to respond to my questions via email.
