Mono Vertigo question

Hi,

I'm looking for a suitable gigbag for short scale basses, more specifically a Fender Japan reissue Mustang and a Hofner HCT 500/1.

Does anyone know if the Mono Vertigo BASS bag fits these basses ok? I've heard the neck holder is a bit lower on the vertigo so small scale basses are ok.

Does anyone know if this is true?

An alternative case I've been looking at is the Protection Racket deluxe bass case:

This one has a removable bottom section and the neck holder can be moved (both are held in by Velcro) so I was thinking this might work for these short scales, as it allows me to adjust to a smaller size. What do you think? Here's a video of a guy reviewing it, where you can clearly see the movable parts:

Also, would either bass be ok to leave in either of these cases long term? (e.g. just in my house when not in use) as I don't want anything to harm the finish on either of the basses.

Thanks,

Mike

It honestly would be ideal as I have a pt nano that fits in a tic that I currently have on my M80. Unfortunately the M80 is too deep for short scales. The vertigo grabbed my attention due to it having what appears to be a lower neck holder.

If only the M80 had some form cushion that could be attached internally at the base to raise the bass up (a bit like what's shown in the protection racket case) then I reckon a shortscale would fit fine.

The distance from the bottom strap pin to the top of the Headlock in the Vertigo Bass is about 31". I measured from the bottom of the Mustang up to the bottom of the headstock and it was around 33/34".

Do you think this will be ok for the Mustang to fit the Vertigo and keep it secure? I live in London and need a case to carry on my back to and from gigs but still offer good quality protection.

I'd be grateful for any help/advice.

Thanks,
