Mononeon Signature Jazz Bass?

the Meteora basses have the same "feature". That's a deal breaker for me. Fender is really deaf to what bass players want lately. Seems like such a simple thing to get right…

Some ppl (like myself) don't really care. Most ppl ime dont even mess with the tone on a passive bass. Mine is either 100% on or (rarely) 100% off.

I'm sure Fender has done their market research and determined that a passive tone isn't a huge demand for these specific instruments. This is their business, after all. They're not going to shoot themselves in the foot over it

It seems that Fender wants us to use the active preamp with three eq points instead of a single tone knob to get the tones we want.

for better or worse

I've not seen much complaining about it with stingrays

This is more than I've heard him talk in the six or so years combined that I've been following his art!

I love a lot of what mononeon does. BlaqueDynamite too. George Clinton was a great addition to the video! If one of these basses ever pop up in my hood, I'll definitely give it a spin and see how I like it!

I'm really liking the 22 fret and roasted neck. I wish fender would pass this on to their other player series, and just stop with the pau ferro fret board. I had a mim pbass deluxe a few years back and I added a stack pot at the mid controls to give me a passive tone knob. That gave me the same set up as the ultra series. I think that was a reason they didn't do it to the player range and save it as a feature for their flag ship ultra line. Also wouldn't mind seeing if you could set up a coil tap system to play it in single coil. I'm not a fan of the color scheme, but modding those features would really make me want to get it. Though justifying $1500 price tag just to mod it makes me question my life choices.

With the MonoNeon jazz being a signature instrument, it's built to the specs of the artist it was intended for.

Dywane,(MonoNeon), doesn't really care about all the things some of us do when it comes to bass, he just plays the heck out of whatever he has.

I have one, and I'm able to get great sounds out of it in passive mode, just not all the extra bells and whistles, but no complaints from any band mates or studio engineers thankfully! :-)

Sometimes an instrument just might not be for you, but I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding one that suits your needs!
