monster cables vs ?

just starting a new thread about the heavily priced monster cables. can any bassist say they are worth the £$£$£ ? i have never used any monster cables and use planet waves that have lasted my ages now. as i need a new instument lead now, i looked at the price of the monster cable and was shocked. any veiws

Also try Spectraflex, that's what I'm currently using.

I went the monster cable route for a very short time. I found the instrument cables to be the most prone to kinks and tangles of any other cable I have ever used. And I noticed zero difference in sound quality. I use Spectraflex, they sound great, and have a lifetime warranty...just keep the packaging and if the cord craps out ship it back for a new one. On the other hand I do use the very short monster cables to connect tuners, DIs etc, and they are fine. They are short enough that there is no kinkage issue.

Xring hit the nail on the head. I had the owner of this company, "Butch" on the phone for 15 minutes one morning. He had every spec I asked about and more. Give this company a chance to impress you.. because they will, as will their prices on the products.

I don't know whereabouts you are based, but also try this site http://www.bassic.co.uk/

He uses top quality cable and connectors, and his service is excellent.

I use his speaker cables, you'll find many people recomending his cables here on what used to be bassworld.

cheers for the links guys, yeah i will prolly stay clear of the heavily priced monster cables, but the bayou audio cables link looks great. aslo thanks for the link from UK, might be easy to order from there too thanks guys

Right now im into Conquest cables. They are reasonably priced, sound great, and are availible in a variety of lenths and connector options.....Look them up!!!
