Moog Taurus pedals amplification question..

I was watching a band play genesis way back as well as seeing actual genesis live I got to wondering..if I were to buy those pedals, would that require separate amping and cabs...like sub freq friendly stuff...how does that work..I can't remember how that bar band did it, I think it was probably through the PA exclusively but that was the 80s..I remember those pedals being thunderously low and rib shaking...which I love

In the mid-70s I ran Taurus pedals thru one input and my bass thru the other of a big Traynor bass head powering a Fender Bassman 4-12 cab. I agree with Sid Fang about using powered full range cabs. I use them (Taurus 3) at home thru a JBL EON615- but no where near being loud, so I don't know that the EON series is up to the task at gig volume without a sub. Maybe check out other makes/models. Looking back, it's a wonder that Fender cab held together...
