Moral dilemma...

one time i went to buy trash bags and lunch, picked up the trash bags and walked around the store looking for lunch.

found nothing i wanted for lunch and left the store.. getting in my truck i realized i still had the trash bags in my hand. my face was cherry red when i went back in teh store to pay for them

honestly i dont find it dishonest at all to keep the item, you didnt decieve them to get it, you brought it to the register to be payed for with all your other items, thats on the company. they are at fault, not you.. however i would still take it back and pay for it because its what i feel is the right thing to do.

a few years ago i woulda said "eff em"

I couldn't care less about the managers opinion because I am the one who has to be able to look in the mirror and KNOW my kids have a good man for a daddy. All other factors are irrelevant when there is a clear cut right/wrong situation.

Do you want to be the sort of person you wouldn't trust yourself?

I don't think I could easily be friends with someone who could lift something from me or someone else if they decide I or they could "afford" the loss.
