I really liked the low tension, but there was no volume, even amplified.
Maybe I was digging in to compensate, or the lower tension didn’t provide enough downward force. So I’m going back to steels, either the 15 year old red labels, or older spiro mitts with a goofy pirezi (sp) E or the red E.
I’ve got the bridge half fast set just to gauge the geometry, and it’s a little off to the G side. I sort of like having more FB under the E. How critical is it to perfectly center the bridge? And being so top heavy, why aren’t bridge feet bigger longitudinally to better stabilize it vertically? I know the design dates back hundreds of years, so obviously there is a reason. Just some rumination while I attempt to patch this thing together.
