I'm playing in a classic country band & the singer/guitar player keeps saying can I get more Thump on the bass. That's Thump & not Thumb. He says to much bass or to much highs. I'm puzzled as to what he wants. Got any ideas?

Solo the neck pup and roll back on the highs a bit. Someone also mentioned foam. Try that as well.Fender Jazz Bass with rounds
