My guitar player is constantly complaining that I am not playing loud enough at practice. He has a marshall half stack an I am running a carvin b1500 into a avatar 2x12 and 1x15, both 8 ohm. The guitar player suggested that I run two speaker cables into each cab instead of just one because the carvin has 4 outputs. I made up a reason that it wouldn't work because I would rather have him turn down than me turn up. But just out of curiousity, was he right? Would that give me a lower impedance and pull more wattage from the amp?
